I'm your host, Lisa, and I've spent over a decade building a career in nonprofits, small business', and start-ups across the hospitality and short-term rental industry. Upon establishing a foundation in nonprofits and education, I launched a community-driven business in January 2016 that focused on marketing, experiential education, and business development for short-term rental owners in the agri-eco space. 

As a member of a generation that's hyper-aware of our relationship with the natural world and the impact of our actions, I'm excited to be part of the global movement towards nurturing the well-being of the planet and humanity. I see the rise of farmers who are approaching entrepreneurship in a new way as a significant opportunity to inspire and inform people of all ages about the importance of connecting to the land and their local food sources. 

Hey there, I'm Scottie, one of your hosts! I'm a farmer entrepreneur and published author  with a passion for educating both farmers and travelers about the many benefits of farm stays.

To help with this, I launched Farm Stay USA in 2010, promoting  stays on authentic  working farms and ranches throughout the US and so far attracting more than 1.8 million travelers to our site.

We're not just about promoting unique travel experiences. Agritourism has the potential to help revitalize rural economies, educate the public about food production, and preserve our farming heritage. 

Recently I helped with the launch of the Global Agritourism Network (April 2023) and am currently the rep for North America.
